Origin of the Company

Paul Mustone launched Reflex Lighting in 1983 with an agreement to represent a small lighting manufacturer. This manufacturing company eventually became Cooper Lighting Products, one of the industry’s leading suppliers. Since then the company has grown by constantly expanding its capabilities to meet the changing needs of the specification community, the construction community and end users. As of December 31, 2009 Lighting Systems Inc. has merged with The Reflex Lighting Group Inc. and is now called The Reflex Lighting Group of Connecticut.

The "Green" Lighting Effect

In recognition of the increasingly critical need for energy efficiency, Reflex has spent over fifteen years developing "green" lighting solutions. In the early 1990s, for example, we partnered with a major utility to design energy conservation programs for small businesses. We also work closely with manufacturers to bring to market a whole array of high efficiency lighting systems

Knowledgeable Business Model

We have transitioned to a more consultative business model with a value proposition based on knowledge and service. We moved to a technology-rich design and application facility enabling lighting specifiers, architects, interior designers, contractors and others to “test drive” the latest and best lighting products. We invested in state of the art modeling, rendering, and auto-cad technology to meet the needs of highly sophisticated national companies like Stop & Shop and Staples. Reflex has also recruited a team of highly trained professionals, who literally speak your language, in order to make this service model a reality.
